Enrollments: Managing and Debugging

A clear understanding of how to view, manage, and debug enrollments in the CMS is essential for resolving learner issues quickly and maintaining clean data.

This page explains how to locate and inspect enrollment records, manually adjust enrollments, and troubleshoot common issues using the CMS.

A general rule of thumb is if you’re unsure whether an issue is related to content or enrollment data, start by reviewing the user’s enrollments. Most issues originate there.

Finding and understanding enrollments

In this video, we’ll cover how to locate a learner’s course enrollment record in the CMS and understand what it’s telling you. We’ll start with how to find the enrollment from either the Course or User page, then walk through the key fields and values you’ll see. Finally, we’ll look at how to drill down to the learner’s module enrollments, to help you understand the finer detail.

Adjusting enrollments and progress

In this video, we’ll look at how to directly manipulate enrollment data in the CMS. You’ll learn how to enroll or unenroll learners at both the course and module level, as well as how to mark enrollments as complete or reset them when needed.

These actions are often required after curriculum changes, to fix progress inconsistencies, or to support testing scenarios.
