Navigate your ClickUp Workspace

Once you've logged into ClickUp, you should see your active space in the sidebar - this will typically be named after your business or project.

Within that space, you’ll find several lists that help organize tasks based on type and priority.

Understanding Your Lists

Here’s a breakdown of the core lists you'll see in your ClickUp workspace:

  • Tickets: All tasks submitted via your ClickUp form appear here first. Your Project Manager will triage and categorize them. Plume’s goal is to keep this list empty by promptly processing new submissions.
  • Product Backlog: This is where new feature ideas are stored. Tasks here are reviewed, estimated, and prioritized using a simple drag-and-drop system. Your Project Manager will help keep this list up to date based on your evolving goals.
  • Bug tracking: Bugs are moved into this list to keep them separate from new features. They’re prioritized using the Priority field (Urgent, High, Medium, Low). Urgent and High-priority bugs are typically addressed before feature work, within your available budget.
  • General: Used for internal, recurring tasks such as maintenance or routine checks.
  • Milestones: Used during the Implementation phase to show a high-level Gantt chart of major project phases and deliverables.

You'll also see a link to your Documentation section here, which is used to store all key project information, including:

  • Call notes from your Project Manager meetings
  • Any website-specific documentation or setup details

This space acts as a central knowledge base, so you can easily refer back to past discussions or technical references at any time.

Navigating a task

When you click on a task, the detailed task view should display, providing you with the task details, task description, task details (assignee, status etc), and the comment thread

Tip: Whilst the ClickUp Task UI should be intuitive to use, we do recommend spending 10 minutes reviewing ClickUp's Task documentation to understand all features available within the Task UI.
